Boat booms and fender systems are used to protect the outer shell of megayachts, passenger and cruise liners or navy vessels, for example, from unwanted and expensive collisions. Both boat booms and fender systems are installed as complete systems on the vessel and can be extended from the vessel and retracted as needed. In particular, boat booms offer the option of securing a tender, for example, to the outer shell of the vessel’s hull at a safe distance. In contrast, fender systems prevent damage to the outer shell of the vessel during harbour manoeuvres and when moored along the quay wall or wall-to-wall with another vessel.
