FUCHS changes its certification partner with regard to ISO 9001
FUCHS Verwaltungs AG receives TOP 100 award for its innovation
COMPANY
Only those who keep moving can have a great impact. True to this motto, the almost 60-year history of FUCHS AG has been shaped by constant evolution and innovative power – in everything including our company organisation, our processes, our products and services, and the working conditions for our employees. Only the management of the company by the owners themselves, as well as the values we exemplify to our employees and the way we understand to take care of our employees have remained and will remain constant.
In the meantime we have evolved into a group of companies in which the operational divisions – crane and material handling technology, surface technology and machining technology – are completely handled by our three subsidiaries: FUCHS Fördertechnik GmbH, FUCHS Oberflächentechnik GmbH and FUCHS Produktionstechnik GmbH.

Our Group’s expertise is based on decades of experience in the maritime industry and offshore sector. In light of the stringent requirements in these fields for steel construction, welding technology, technical functionality and surface quality, and the fact that all of our products and services, are individually approved by ship classification societies and/or customers, this in turn gives us the advantage of having to prove ourselves anew every day in order to deliver the highest level of quality.
Moreover, we along with our subsidiaries have an integrated management system (IMS) certified by KIWA in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001. At the same time, the individual subsidiaries meet the requirements for ‘Factory Production Control’ as defined in EN 1090 EXC 3 and the requirements for the manufacture and maintenance of military products as set out in DIN 2303. In addition, our subsidiary FUCHS Fördertechnik GmbH is a DNV GL recognized and certified welding company.
Our corporate policy is primarily based on the following principles, to which our employees and we are committed:
INNOVATIVE POWER
We always endeavour to continuously improve ourselves, our processes and our products and services. To this end, and to ensure our profitability, we focus on developing our core products, the cranes and crane systems and other hoisting equipment, and additional complementary products on the one hand, and on expanding our vertical range of manufacture on the other, in order to be as self-sufficient as a company as possible and be able to manufacture products in-house on a flexible schedule.
TRUST AND RELIABILITY AT ALL LEVELS
Partnership with customers, suppliers, service providers and employees is based on mutual trust and reliability with regard to the fulfilment of mutual commitments. We rely on a cooperative, trusting relationship based on mutual understanding.
What’s more, the creativity and motivation of our employees are key success factors, which are encouraged and challenged by competent and exemplary managers. We always endeavour to cultivate our corporate culture and structures in such a way that our employees are able to reach their full potential, and that they can and want to be part of our continuous improvement process.
SOCIAL AND COMMUNICATION POLICY
We stand by our employees –regardless of age, gender, nationality or religion. It is important to us to have as much diversity as possible in order to learn and benefit from each other.
Employees’ high dedication to their work goes hand-in-hand with a company’s social commitment to ensure the best possible working conditions for them.. We maintain and promote the health of our employees to the best of our knowledge and ability on the one hand, and ensure mutual trust and credibility through a transparent information policy and open dialog at all times on the other. In addition, As an owner-operated company, we also always endeavour to support our employees in their special life situations.
AWARENESS OF SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS
We are committed to ensuring that all people working the company can perform their work safely and remain healthy. Cleanliness and order are elementary prerequisites for ensuring safety. They are also important for achieving high product quality and making a good impression on our customers.
DYNAMIC ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTION
Fast and flexible decisions and a long-term vision ensure optimal processes. Our flat hierarchy and short lines of communication not only allow for fast and flexible decisions but also rapid implementation of them. This is true both for the entire company and for every single department.
In light of this we also put all of our activities through a continuous improvement process and consider this as part of a modern management system like ours.
