COMPANY
Originally founded as an internal surface finishing service provider for our parent company FUCHS AG, we eventually became FUCHS Oberflächentechnik GmbH and established ourselves as a reliable partner to external customers as well. Customers from all industries – the maritime industry, offshore sector, drive technology, mechanical and plant engineering, aggregate construction, vehicle construction and many other industries – rely on our years of expertise.
We have the latest start-of-the-art shot-blasting, painting and drying systems as well as appropriate overhead shop cranes and floor conveyors that can easily process and move components, assemblies and objects measuring up to 14 × 5 × 4 metres (L × W × H) and weighing up to 20 tonnes.
We can meet all requirements, be those for coating resistance to climatic and mechanical influences or for precision where colour, layer thickness and gloss level are concerned. We are used to meeting the highest, most special and most universal requirements for surface quality using all established paint/coating systems from various paint manufacturers.
In line with this, we have a quality management system certified by DNV GL in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 and in combination with our sister companies, FUCHS Fördertechnik GmbH and FUCHS Produktionstechnik GmbH, we also meet the corrosion-protection requirements for ‘Factory Production Control’ as defined in EN 1090. We stand for reliability and credibility where our quality, commitment to on-time delivery and environmental awareness are concerned, as well as fast responses, accuracy and organization.
Services
Our scope of services includes pre-treating/preparing the surfaces of different materials (various steel alloys, stainless steel, aluminium, plastic, wood), as well as applying functional or decorative coatings to them. We offer new finishing as well as refinishing, along with partial and total coating or spot repairs on components, assemblies and objects of all types.
To improve surface properties, we at FUCHS Oberflächentechnik GmbH process high-performance topcoats.. Special processing techniques, materials and material combinations are used to achieve long-term protection, refinement and improvement.

Based on special customer specifications, we also perform corrosion-protection tests to determine the chloride content and therefore the degree of contamination of surfaces (DIN EN ISO 8502-6/-9), tests to determine the amount and size of dust particles on surfaces prepared for painting (DIN EN ISO 8502-3) and tests to determine surface roughness (DIN EN ISO 8503-1/-2) – all with the aim of directly or indirectly determining and ensuring the adhesion of the paint coating.
