FUCHS expands stainless steel hook portfolio with double fall version and higher load capacities

Launched in 2018, the single fall stainless steel FUCHS-Bottom Hook Block FH1, which is available in three different sizes with load capacities up to a maximum of 4.0 t SWL for load cases with conveyance of persons (man-riding), is now also available in other versions.

The single fall FUCHS-Bottom Hook Block is now also designed in three enlarged FH2 versions with load capacities up to a maximum of SWL 8.0t for load cases with conveyance of persons (man-riding).

In addition to the single fall FUCHS-Bottom Hook Block FH1/FH2, FUCHS Fördertechnik now developed a double fall FUCHS-Bottom Hook Block FH1/FH2 in a total of 11 various designs for different rope diameters and with load capacities up to a maximum of SWL 8.0t for load cases with conveyance of persons (man-riding).

All versions are also approved for normal load cases without man-riding (cargo). However, their use as liferaft, rescueboat or lifeboat hook is excluded.

The FUCHS-Bottom Hook Blocks FH1/FH2 are type approved by the ship classification society DNV GL. They are designed for fibre ropes. In addition, they are self-locking – in accordance with safety requirements – once the load has been picked up, and features a compact design with low headroom and integrated hook weight. The FUCHS-Bottom Hook Blocks FH1/FH2 can be unlocked easily and ergonomically. Visual requirements are fulfilled by the high gloss polishing of the complete hook system.
